If I somehow leave the laptop for 5 minutes, the Fn/Ctrl key unstucks itself and I cĪn press normally. On a sidenote, it seems that they arrow keys in BIOS work fine, as I can navigate and press all keys fine.Īlso, it seems that this behaviour of the keys getting stuck is temporary. I submitted this to repair and will hear back from them in a while. I believe this problem is much deeper because the On Screen Keyboard does not recognize that the keysĪre being pressed. This is a related problem to the above posts because when I go into BIOS and remap Fn/Ctrl (before I mapped Fn -> Ctrl which was why Ctrl was being stuck, now On the On screen keyboard, it does NOT show that any Ctrl key is being pressed. I also tested this with an external USB keyboard and, even when not pressing Ctrl any where, the laptop thinks as if Ctrl is being pressed. Likewise, pressing "n" opens up a new window and "shift-n" opens a new incognito For example, when I open up Chrome and press the key "t" only, a new tab opens up. I updated my computer with Windows Update, and after it rebooted, the Ctrl Key was stuck.
